Voting has opened for the second annual Women in Logistics Awards, with two categories for companies and two for individuals. "The number of entries to this year's awards has increased threefold. All the finalists showed leadership on gender equality, and had a vision for the future," said Women in Logistics vice-chair Clare Bottle.

Premier Farnell, Royal Mail Group and Unipart Logistics all made it onto the shortlist for Company of the Year, thanks to their commitment to the recruitment of women and development of their careers. The shortlisted companies for SME of the Year are BiS Henderson, Franceline and LoveFreight. "We're encouraging people to visit the voting site to see what the outstanding women in our sector have achieved," added Bottle. The finalists for Young Woman of the Year are: Katie Cox, team coach, Royal Mail; Lyndsay Duff, director, DHD; Rebecca Smith, graduate trainee of the Fast Track Talent programme at Norbert Dentressangle; and

Jennifer Strachan, logistics development analyst at Robert Wiseman Dairies. The Woman of the Year finalists are: Marie Boyer, MD at Franceline; Rebecca Davies, director at AKW (contract packing division); Anna Gray, head of technology portfolio management and reporting at Royal Mail; Danielle Kozlowska, project manager supporting future growth at Tesco; Wendy Manning, vice-president of customer

services at Coca-Cola; and Pat Smedley, director of the Very Enterprising Community Interest Company (Business on the Move).
