Judging by the iiinktiping truck show, Sweden's truck market is on a high—despite environmental questions over access by older vehicles and a strong lobby for an 82.6ft (25.25m) limit on combinations. Sales figures so far are 45% up on last year with Scania and Volvo sharing over half of the 16-tonne-plus sector. It's a quirky
scene, however, with 50% of vans up to 3.5 tonnes being petrol powered.
Sweden's domestic trailer and bodybuilders are under threat from the big foreign manufacturers whose exhibits included a heated mega-cube van for moving paintings and fine art and a 17m Wilson double-decker for the Swedish post office.
