• The Department of Transport has published two leaflets and a wail poster giving advice on wheel security. Each is headed -Still think you've got more important things to do than check wheels?"
One leaflet is aimed at maintenance staff and describes the fixing methods and checks to be made whenever wheels are removed. It also gives tightening sequences for six, eight and 10 stud wheels. Copies are available from DTp test stations.
