A 57-year-old woman bus driver who had seven accidents in 21 weeks commented indignantly: "I have been made a laughing stock." By whom?
By the Hants and Dorset Company, which sacked her? By the industrial tribunal that held her dismissal was fair? By the five stationary vehicles and the garage forecourt that cannoned into her, or by the car that got in the way when she was cutting a corner?
Could she possibly have made herself look a teeny weeny bit silly?
Embarrassed or not, she said she was looking for another driving job. Whether she succeeds depends on whether a prospective employer sees her first.
