A TWO-YEAR delay in implementation of the EEC's eighthour driving day proposals— due on January 1, 1976—is being sought by Minister for Transport, Dr John Gilbert. In a written statement to the EEC Commission in Brussels this week, Dr Gilbert also explained the difficulties in the requirement to fit tachographs to new vehicles from the same date.
