Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Known as the Safe-T-Flate, a new safety air bag inflation system has been produced in prototype form by the Olin Corporation, 460 Park Avenue, New York, NY10022. It measures 14in. by 12in. and is activated by a thimbleful of Olin's explosive powder propellent. A pillow of 1 cu.ft. is inflated in 40/50 milliseconds to a pressure of 9 psi. When the system is signalled by a sensor, a squib attached to the end of the system sets off the propellent inside the container. The propellent instantaneously warms the air in the container and, assisted by the release of gas, this increases the pressure of the air from 800 psi. to 1,450 psi. Air exhausted from the safety cushion is non-toxic.
