Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Combining the tough terrain crossing agility of its namesake with the talents of a mountain goat is the two-passenger, go-anywhere Terra Tiger vehicle from Allis-Chalmers of Milwaukee.

The six-wheel drive vehicle, which can carry a 6001b (270kg) payload (11 cu.ft, storage capacity), does 25 mph-4 mph (fii km/hr) on water. A 10 hp two-stroke engine powers the vehicle through an automatic variablespeed torque converter and positive six-wheel drive with steering clutches.

The Terra Tiger vehicle is equipped with 10-20in. special extra-low-pressure allterrain tyres as standard. These provide the flotation necessary to cross any terrain—wet. dry or a combination—and to tackle grades as much as 1:1 with ease. The sealed, moulded glass-reinforced plastics body enables the vehicle to turn into a boat on water.

Uses of the Terra Tiger vehicle are almost innumerable. Commercial applications include construction and pipeline work, surveying, logging, forestry, health service, conservation, landclearing. and power utility line work.

A simple steering tiller and throttle lever control the turn and speed of the 4001b vehicle, which is 84in, long, 54in. wide and 37in. high.

The fuel tank holds 6.4gal. Wheelbase is 44in. while the turning radius is less than 4ft. The Terra Tiger boat in water has a freeboard of 11 to 18in.
