• The race by Europe's leading truck makers to acquire a substantial stake in Enasa, the Spanish truck and bus builder which also owns Seddon Atkinson, has quickened with the news that Iveco has made a formal bid for the company.
Volvo, Daf and MAN have all shown interest in the Spanish state-owned company, and the Spanish industry minister Claudio Aranzadi says an announcement can be expected soon.
