warns drivers of all types of vehicles of the presence of black ice on the road, by means of a probe fitted to UN front of the vehicle and connected to a dashboard display Temperature information is displayed as a green or red si nal to warn of freezing conditions, and there is an optional audible warning which sounds when the temperature drops below 2°C. Zero claims the vice reacts almost instantaneously to temperature changes and is not affected b: wind chill.
