• MOBILE DATA terminals are being supplied to AA patrols by Spectronics Micro Systems. S340 terminals linked to base via two-way radio also supply a print-out of vehicle breakdown details — meaning that the patrol can find details waiting even if absent while attending another breakdown. AA patrols from Cheadle Hulme, Halesowen, Thatcham, Maidstone and Stanmore are now so equipped, bringing the number of vehicles using SMS data to nearly 2,500 throughout the UK. Turbo 55
