Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

be used for carrying very light loads in the London area.

The vehicle we choose will probably belong to the era of the late 1 920s or early 1930s and we will, of course, make sure that its condition is immaculate, both structurally and mechanically.

Could you please advise us if we will be able to get the vehicle plated and included on our operator's licence or is it unlikely that we would be allowed to use it for carrying goods?

AWe can see no reason why an old vehicle cannot be plated and tested for use on roads and included on your operator's licence, provided it complies with the requirements regarding braking. etc. However, it may be a little difficult to bring the brakes on an old vehicle up to the standard required.

We notice you use the word van. If you chose one of the smaller vehicles which is under 30cwt ulw it would not be necessary

to have it plated and tested or included on your operator's licence. It would merely require an annual test at a garage authori7ed for DoE testing.
