Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QQU A RE push broaches designed for use iii a press have recently been added to the Marko range of tools produced by W. H. Marley and Co., Ltd., New Southgate Works. 105. High Road, London, N.11. Each broach, of which there are .eight sizes available ranging from 2 in. square to 2 in. square, is provided with a pilot at the small end.

Figures given as a guide to users show that the I-in.-square broach, for example, can be used on mild steel up to 11 ins, thickness, the pressure required being 2,300 lb. per sq. in.

The vmge of thicknesses which

can be broached with these tool, is limited by the pitch of the teeth. If it be desired to broach material thinner than the maximum thickness specified for a given size of broach, a number of components can generally be dealt with at one operation.

The size of the square broach with the standard tools will, in each case, provide a sliding fit on spindles of nominal size, but should other fits be required, the necessary alterations can be made at extra cost.

Prices range from £6 5s. for the 2-in,-square broach to £18 5s. for a, 2-in, two-stage tool.
