• I plan to start an LGV driving school with an artic. I am not sure which type of Operator's Licence I would need. An Operator's Licence is required by a person who uses a goods vehicle to carry goods for hire or reward or in connection with his trade or business.
If the driving school vehicle does not carry any goods an Operator's Licence will not be required and the vehicle could be taxed at the annual rate of £110.
