• TNT Garment Express has snapped up a major E3 million contract with the House of Fraser stores group to distribute all its clothing, accessories and housewares to over 80 stores nationwide.
The open-ended contract has been won by TNT against a number of major competitors, and Garment Express is now looking to pick up similar business from other retail groups.
According to Garment Express general manager Neil Crossthwaite: "Many other companies may well, in light of the lead taken by BHS and House of Fraser, decide the benefits inherent in a nominated carrier scheme are irresistible."
TNT Garment Express will handle the contract using its existing fleet, in its own livery. It plans, however, to add more vehicles to the fleet in the medium term.
