JOHN ROBS has been made a non-executive director of the National Freight Consortium. He is chairman of the Food and Drinks division of the Beecham Group.
Mr Robb has been chosen mainly because of international and marketing experience gained from his 17 years with the Beecham Group.
In 1980 he joined the Beecham board of directors and before that was a vice-president of the Western Hemisphere Division, USA, based in New Jersey.
In 1971 he was with Beecham Far East Consumer Products in Kuala Lumpur, and before that was a marketing executive.
