Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I refer to your report in CM last week and would like to emphasise the position of C.T. (London) Ltd in the current haze of comment with regard to the Rudkin-Wiley patent litigation.

C.T. (London) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of C.T. (Group) Ltd. This is a private company based in the United Kingdom having no financial or technical association with Rudkin-Wiley Corporation. C.T. (Group) Ltd is an independent UK company acting as the distributor for Rudkin-Wiley Airshields.

Other than marketing responsibilities neither the group company nor C.T. (London) Ltd, as the trading company, have any responsibility or indeed have taken the initiative for issuing writs, threats or any other form of action against United Kingdom customers.

I trust this clears our responsibilities in the recent press discussions and that you will be able to in some way clarify this very important situation in subsequent issues. R. L. MARSH (Director)

CT. Group Ltd,

London S.W.1.
