BUS OPERATORS experimenting with vehicles powered by liquid petroleum gas (lpg) will in future be allowed to claim rebate for fuel duty for stage carriage mileage in the same way as for diesel vehicles, The Department of Transport announced last week that this scheme would commence immediately and that rebate would be at the current rate of duty, 15p a gallon.
