THE Transport Minister has no proposals to speed up the procedures of the Traffic Commissioners, but is willing to consider suggestions.
This emerged in the Commons last week when Mr John Horam, Under Secretary for Transport, admitted that substantial delays could occur, as in the current Oxfordshire cases, where additional sittings had to be arranged at a time which would suit a large number of interested parties.
This, he said, was a question of what was practical rather than of procedure.
The Minster would be very ready to consider any proposals for amending regulations to expedite such cases.
