Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO modified versions of the ERF LV forward-control plastics cab will make their first appearance at the Scottish Show next week. The new cabs are 1+ in. wider inside and 4i in. wider -overall, allowing wider front axles and larger tyres to be used, and there have been detailed changes to the design.

The new designs are called the 3LV and the 4LV. The former is intended for models with a set-back front axle position, normally 16-ton-gross four-wheelers and 24-tongross eight-wheelers whilst the 4LV is set directly over the front axle and will be used on tractive units, 22-ton-gross six-wheelers and 26-ton-gross eight-wheelers where the maximum axle spread is required.

Internal improvements have been made by lining the roof, rear panels and so forth, and ventilation has been improved by fitting opening quarter lights in the doors. Identical doors are used on both models; instead of a fullheight door on the forward-entry cab, this also now stops at the wheel-arch and steps are recessed into the panels forward of the front wheels.
