Stand 64 EIGHT models embracing the full range of Reo 15-cwt., 3-ton, 4-ton and 5-ton products, with long and short wheelbases, make a fine display.

Noted for its impressive vehicles, Collars, Ltd., is the purchaser of the 3LF-type forward-control 3-tonner of 13-ft. 10-in, wheelbase, which carries a streamlined body, built by 1VIanhire, Chandler and Co. Fitted with shelves to accommodate collar boxes and with a sliding door on the near side, the vehicle is 16 ft. 4 ins, long, 6 ft. wide and 6 ft. 2 ins, high.

Sold to Balgownie Dairy Co., Aberdeen, the 15-cwt. 9-ft. 6-in, wheelbase machine on view is of 145 cubic ft. capacity and is powered by a Silver Crown four-cylindered 45 b.h.p. engine.

One of the most interesting exhibits on this stand is a 3XL chassis in stripped form. It has the longest wheel base available in a Reo 3-tonner, namely, 16 ft. Points worthy of note are the exceptional depth of the frame, the Silver Crown six-cylindered 24.38 h.p engine, which develops 70 b.h.p. at 2,800 r.p.m., and the Borg and Beck clutch.

An unusual exhibit is the Jaeger mobile concrete mixer, mounted upon a 13-ft. 10-in, wheelbase chassis, in which a Gold Crown 73 b.h.p. engine is fitted. Salient features are a chromium-nickel cylinder block, a seven-bearing crankshaft, low-expansion alloy pistons and full forced-feed. lubrication throughout, by drilled oilways in the block.

Another identical chassis carries a standard drop-sided body.

Three 5-to/niers are shown, these having Gold Crown 83 b.h.p. engines. One model is shown as a stripped chassis, another as a special boxvan and the third as an hydraulic tipper with Woods under-body gear.—Reo Motors, Ltd., Great West Road, Brentford.
