Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Stand 93

T"examples of this concern's trailer units arc shown, one being an 8-ton single-axle quickly detachable type in chassis form, and the other a 10-ton double-axle bogie trailer corn-. plete with a drop-sided body. A Commer LN5 tractor unit is coupled to the 8-ton trailer, the 10-ton trailer being mounted on a 5S-Reo tractor unit.

By adopting a central box gilder to form the backbone of the frame, a big Saving in weight results without any E42 loss of strength or rigidity. The crossmembers are pressed from similar material to that used for the central structure and are electrically welded to the main girders.

On the double-bogie unit, transverse mounting of the springs is adopted, the axle bearers being carried on large bearings fitted in the spring bosses. Provision is made in the design to allow the axle bearers to revolve upon their own axes, thus the .inside wheels can be brought to the outside position. This greatly facilitates inspection of the brakes and hubs, and simplifies tyre changing.

Low-periodicity semi-elliptic springs are fitted on the single-axle model, the design being such that no shackles are required.

The complete vehicle shown is finish painted and lettered to the style of other vehicles operated by the purchaser, H. Sibbons, Ltd.--Hands (Letchworth), Ltd., Letchworth Herts.
