Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

As a rule, new chassis to-day incorporate mileage recorders, which are essential instruments if operating costs are to be kept with any degree of accuracy. There are, however, many vehicles which still lack these useful accessories, and one of the reasons why they have not been adopted in certain cases is the difficulty in obtaining a D30 suitable form of drive. This point has now been largely overcome by the Speedometer Supply Co., Ltd., 12, Great Queen Street, London, W.C.2.

The new instrument in question is carried on a bracket fixed to the frame of the vehicle, and the drive is by belt from the propeller shaft ; the pulley on the shaft Is of the split type, so that

mounting is effected easily and does not entail any dismantling of parts. The instrument itself is carried on the frame by means of clamps. It records up to 10,000 mike and then repeats. The indicator functions whether the vehicle be moving forward or backward. It is guaranteed for two years and is priced at £4 15s. complete.
