By Chris Druce PARTNERLINK, THE haulage consortium backed by Knights of Old, AK Worthington and John G Russell among others, has recruited John Davidson as director.

Based at John G Russell’s Glasgow ofice, Davidson will be re sponsible for co-ordinating the 15-strong partnership as it looks to improve the visibility of the Partnerlink name, as well as developing the business. Established in 2004 by like-minded hauliers wanting to compete on a national level, members also include Owens (Road Services), Viamaster Trans port, Magnus Group and Caledonian Logistics.

Davidson, previously general manager (Scotland) at Rhys Davies, says: “I am excited about the role and am keen to keep this company and all the partners moving forward.

“Through collaboration, each partner has reaped beneits since joining Partnerlink and I hope that by constant communication of operational and commercial changes and regular talks with each partner, I can continue the expansion and success.” Davidson’s predecessor Peter Hancox has moved to Knights of Old, in Northamptonshire, as compliance director after two years at Partnerlink.
