• Consideration of disciplinary action against Crynant Transport has been adjourned by South Wales LA John Mervyn Pugh because, he said, "further matters have come to light".
The company failed to attend a Cardiff disciplinary inquiry. Mervyn Pugh said that the case should have been heard on 6 April but an adjournment was requested because of holidays.
In December, five prohibition notices had been issued to the company's trucks and recent checks had revealed that they had still not been cleared.
Adjourning the proceedings, Mervyn Pugh said it was necessary to give the company notice of further matters that had come to light.
At the same inquiry, Mervyn Pugh revoked the eight-vehicle PCV 0 licence held by Crynant Transport's director and transport manager Florence Morrison. He
also disqualified Morrison, of New Garage, Maes-y-Coed, Crynant, from holding or obtaining such a licence for life.
He said that six immediate prohibitions had been issued: they were all endorsed "neglect", and there had been prosecutions for stolen test certificates, the forgery of test certificates, vehicle excise duty offences, using a school bus without insurance and the forgery of vehicle excise licences.
