Optare-bodied double-deck buses. All based on the Leyland Olympian chassis the overall dimensions are 9.6 metres long, 4.32 metres high and 2.5 metres wide.

Power is provided by a Gardner 10.45-litre six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine developing 164kW at 1,900 rpm through a Leyland Hydracyclic gearbox with semi-automatic micro-processor control.

Each vehicle is fitted with 70 high-backed luxury coach seats, 43 in the upper deck and 27 in the lower deck. A Blaupunkt stereo system with 10 speakers and public address equipment is also supplied.

Vultron electronic destination signs are fitted up front and provide a micro-processor controlled read-out.
