Transport managers planning freight services into Europe, or worried about the effects of the new labour relations law in Britain, will get expert advice in CM's 1972 Fleet Management Conference. This one-day conference will be held on Thursday September 21 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
Engineers will hear details of a new American method of specifying the right vehicle for the job, and both operators and engineers will be interested in a paper devoted to vehicle replacement policy and financing.
There will also be a quick question-and-answer session on specific transport aspects of VAT.
A prominent employer and an outspoken trade unionist will present the session on labour relations which will include a stock-taking of the effects of the new Act and the codes of practice.
