MUttoxeterbased international haulier Michael Chilton has appealed against fines, costs and back duty totalling £3,784.98 imposed for not taxing vehicles and permitting a driver to take insufficient rest (CM 13-19 Feb).
Chilton had not taxed his vehicles in protest over the disparity between the tax paid by British and Continental hauliers.
LI He will explain his case in next week's 'Sound-off column.
