• Ettco oil drain plugs are automatic valves which replace the conventional sump plug on most commercial vehicles.
Once the valve is in place the oil is drained by removing the cap and screwing a length of pipe with an adaptor onto the valve (the adaptor will fit all sizes of valve). This lifts the valve off the seat, allowing the oil to drain out.
Removing the adaptor reseals the valve and the cap prevents dirt getting in to foul the valve. After fitting the valve protrudes around 25mm.
Ettco oil drain valves are available from KM Special Vehicle Services; the cost depends on the number ordered.
