A COUNTY DURHAM indepei dent has been given a one ye licence for a Consett-Blackhi service, despite opposition froi Northern General Transport.

The Northern Traffic Commi sioners granted the licence 1 Watsons Coaches of Stanle after hearing that Northern witl drew a similar service last Octi ber. Although other Northei services cover parts of the rout three witnesses spoke in suppo of Watson's proposals.
