Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A MECHANIC can learn to balance la wheels both statically and dynamically within 10 minutes if be uses the Kismet KWB340, say the makers, who add that five wheels can be completed, including removal and replacement, in under an hour.

To use the machine it is first necessary to place the wheel on the spindle of the balancer and check it statical.y in the standard manner. The next actions are to slip the clutch in, start the electric Motor and watch the indicator hand, which vibrates if the wheel is dynamically out of balance. Two hand levers are then brought ,into use to move the counterbalance weight, and when this exactly offsets the effect of dynamic unbalance the spindle no longer oscillates and the indicator hand stops vibrating. A teak beside the hand lever shows the weights to apply inside and outside the wheel rim at the position indicated.

Standard accessories supplied are a

universal adapter covering wheel-stud pitchcircle diameters up to 11,25 in. designed for 3-, 4-, 5or 6-stud wheels to be mounted; combination weight-removing tool and hammer; various adapter sleeves and a spindle nut. " Slimline " weights are available in a box of 140 in assorted sizes, 0,5 oz. to 3 oz., or separately.
