Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Eyre Street, Sheffield, 1.

THE P.C.L. wheel alignment gauge made by this company will, it is claimed, measure accurately wheel alignment of all vehicles. There are no separate parts to assemble, the unit being built on synthetic

• rubber wheels for easy manipulation. The base bar is formed of three telescopic steel tubes of heavy section to give strength and rigidity. Also made of heavy section steel tube are the. uprights, which are dimpled at. one-inch intervals to permit easy adjustment of the pointers. The uprights are connected to the base tube by spring-loaded banjo fittings and brackets with large diameter spigot bearings; in this way side play is eliminated.

The gauge operates on the outside of the wheel rims and an internal spring maintains close contact between the pointers and the wheel rims. The scale reading is deeply etched and clearly defined, permitting readings in less than a minute.

This gauge is 7 ft. 6 in. long and when closed it is about 71in. wide and 4,4 in. high. The distance between the pointers can be varied from 3 ft. 3f in. to 8 ft. 3 in., the height of the pointers from the tloor, being from 81 in. to I ft. 8 in. The gauge weighs 2316.
