Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Plymouth Devon TECALEMIT is another major concern in the lubricating equipment field and manufactures everything from hand guns to complete lubrication bay installations.

Grease guns, from the simplest push-on type to side-operated types, giving output pressures of up to 4,000 p.s.i„ are produced. The latest is the Tecagun, which is suitable for pumping any lubricant from light oil to fibrous grease and has a quick-action filling. As an aid to the filling of grease guns, and also to ensure that there is no contamination of the grease, Tecalemit also makes a gun filler attachment. A range of three sizes is made to fit on to the top of standard drums from 28to 400-1b. capacity. A handle. operated pump unit is mounted to the cover plate for the drum, and the hand gun is inverted on to a grooved filler plate and filled by slowly turning the handle. Leveroperated guns, which are filled through an aperture in the head, use a filler tube. The unit can also he used for filling grease pumps by means of a hose attachment offered as an extra.

Mobile greasing units consist of drum pumps mounted on castors, mobile trolleys for more than one type of lubrication and the Tectruck, which is a small mobile unit with an electric motor or petrol engine driving a compressor to supply the air pressure for the operation of a lubricant pump.

There are four mobile pumps—the HP 130 high-pressure unit, which will take 112to 130-1b. drums; the HP 56, which has the same high-pressure pump as the HP 130 but takes a 56-1b. drum; the LP 10 low-pressure pump, which takes a 10-gal, drum and has a low-pressure pump; and the LP 5, which has the same pump as the 1.2 10 and takes a 5-gal. drum, The high-pressure pumps used by Tecalemit are called Type TBH and have a pressure ratio (lubricant to air) of 45 to 1. The maximum air-operating pressure is 150 p.s.i. The low-pressure—Type TBLpumps have a pressure ratio of 4 to 1 and the same maximum air-operating pressure; both pumps use identical air-motor mechanisms and a wire gauze filter screen at the foot of the pump tube. Accessories available for use with the mobile units include a follower plate for the TBH pumps which overcomes any problems of cavitation with some fibrous greases.

A mobile trolley available from Tecalemit is designed to meet every need of vehicle lubrication. It comprises two large-capacity, drum-mounted lubricant pumps (one T131-I and one TBL) and a 4-gal. penetrating-oil sprayer. All items are secured by tie rods to a heavy-duty trolley equipped with stowage racks for the operating hoses and so on. The Lubrjfla tor is a compact, electrically operated unit for high-pressure lubrication and tyre inflation, comprising an electric-motor-driven compressor for both a TBH drum-mounted pump and an air hose. Smaller mobile lubrication units are the Goliath power pump (for fibrous and heavybodied lubricants), the Electro gun (electrically powered), and the P.A. 25 power gun.

The TBH and TBL lubricant pumps are used for Tee-span wall-mounted installations supplied by Tecalemit. These are the usual type with lubricant tanks and grease drums located behind the wall on which the hose outlets are located, hose reels being mounted on the inside of the wall. Tee-span units include meters, drip tray, hose outlets, panels and so on; the hose reels used in the installations are marketed as independent units and arc enclosed in a metal cover. Types suitable for air, water, penetrating oil, lubricating oil and grease are available. They can be for ceiling or wall mounting, and separate delivery meters can be supplied.

Completing the lubricating-bay equipment offered by Tecalemit, there are various types of oil-drain units, including swivel-arm types with radii of up to II ft. 2 in. In this design there is a gravity feed unit, which mounts directly over the storage tank, and a model which can be used with a remote bulkstorage tank.
