BAELZ EQUIPMENT LTD.
Railway Street, Wolverhampton. A COMPREHENSIVE range of lubricating equipment is manufactured by this firm, primarily for the oil marketing industry. Most of the items are concerned with oil storage and dispensing but the range also includes greasing equipment and oil drain units.
Baelz barrel pumps fit directly into oil drums and are hand-operated, giving deliveries of either one or two pints per stroke of the piston. The same deliveries are obtainable with dispensing pumps designed to fit on bulk torage tanks. Other lubricant dispensing equipment made by Baelz includes mobile gear-oil units, gear. oil pumps for drums and a range of oil cabinets with capacities up to 50 gal, and with one, two or three delivery points. The fronts of the cabinets have lockable shutters and, for the storage of larger quantities of oil, batteries of tanks with capacities of up to 500 gal. are made. A specially designed item is shaped like an oil cabinet with a lockable flap over the front aperture and is designed to enclose a 50-gal. drum.
Other items of interest made by the concern are a three-wheel truck suitable for 40/50-gal.-capacity drums with clamps to hold the drum in position, storage trolleys for cans and bottles of oil and a top cover and pump housing for 40-gaL barrels. The housing, which is attached to the barrel cover, surrounds the pump and has a lockable door.
There are two mobile, high-pressure grease dispensers—Models 104 and 106. The 104 has its base mounted on castors and the grease container and pump unit are completely enclosed by a steel casing. The 106 has the same air-operated, high-pressure grease pump as the 104 but consists of a three-wheel truck on which the grease container is mounted. The pump unit is carried on a top plate which is fitted over the container and the container and pump arc secured to the truck by tie rods. The wasteoil drain unit is mounted on four castors, has a telescopic drain pan and can accommodate standard 10-gal. drums.
