A CANADIAN, Mr. W. R. Fleming, 171 will .be in charge of the commercial vehicle chassis. production which International Harvester Co. of Great Britain 'Ltd. is to establish at the Carr Hill works in .Doncastee bought from Ford Motor Co. .Ltd. last year. Mr. Fleming, who will have the title of manager of motor truck operations, has been general sales manager. of ConstrUction , Equipment, Hamilton, Ontario (art [H' Canada company), since 1962. Before that he had held positions as assistant manager and manager. of Quebec and Toronto-districts of Montreal Motor Truck----anOther 1H concern.
The works manager will be Mr. W. E.
Atkinson, formerly of the tractor and equipment plant in Doncaster, and the chief product engineer will • be Mr. Thomas W. Poplett, who was previously in charge of product reliability at the company's works in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
International Harvester is not yet prepared to give details of the types of commercial chassis which will be built in the U.K. or the date on which production may start. Before 1939, III imported trucks CKD for assembly at a Liverpool .plant; but a reverse flow is likely when Doncaster starts operating, as the, inter':

Envoy Type Approval I N line with the York TrailerCo. Lid. poIicy of obtaining European type approvals for all appropriate models, the York T.A. tandem-axle running gear and the all-steel Envoy fratineless TER trailer have now been tested and approved by the ' Dutch Government. The T.A. Tandem has approval for a load „of. 16 metric tons and the Envoy approval for a gross trailer weight of 32 metric tons (16 through the kingpin and 16 on the bogie).
