(IN Tuesday, in Newcastle von Tyne, the Northern licensing Authority, Mr. J. A. T. Hanlon. exercised his discretion and granted an application under Section 173 (I) (c) of the Road Traffic Act for the transfer of three vehicles of William Jennings and Sons to H. C. Horn, at Gateshead.

For H. C. Horn. Mr. T. H. Campbell Wardlaw explained that the three vehicles were on public A licences and two were being operated; one of the vehicles aad not been operated since July, 1962. Mr. -J. Jennings said that his brother, David . G. Jennings, and he had been equal partners in the haulage firm 'minded by his father. His brcither had lied in 1963.

When the L.A. asked why he had not yen notified of this death, Mr. Jennings 7xplained that he was pot aware that this vas necessary. He had agreed to sell the susiness to Mr. Horn, but the transaction lepended on the licence grant.
