Mr. Joseph Wishart, managing director, said that the contract vehicles were often, unavoidably, loaded only to 70 per cent capacity but the A vehicles were running full. Since one factory at Kirkcaldy had closed and the work had been transferred to Lancaster there had been a change in the linoleum traffic, he said.

-Mr. A. Bowman, transport office manager for Nairn Williamson, told the court that they inte.ndedto send more of -their . London traffic by -liner train in future but although Wishart would lose this part they would get more of the onward distribution traffic.
