vehicle brought temporarily into Great Britain will no longer have to satisfy the Licensing Authority that he has no principal place of business or permanent residence in this country. But he will still have to show that he is only On a visit.
This amendment is contained in the Motor Vehicles (International Circulation) Regulations, 1965, which have been' made by the Minister of Transport. The new regulations, -which supersede the present regulations made in 1963, will come into force on April 1. Most of the amendments are consequential on the consolidation of the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations in 1964, and the 'impending transfer of functions relating td motor vehicles from the London County Council to the Greater London Council.
The fee to be paid , by an applicant wanting particulars ofa foreign vehicle temporarily. in this country, from the records held by the 'Greater London Council, is raised from Is. to 5s.
