riA PARTY of British hauliers who operate vehicles in Europe yesterday visited French road-rail " Kangourou " installations in Lille and Paris at the invitation of French Railways.
Among those who made the visit were representatives of the following: Beck and Pollitzer Road Transport Ltd.. British Road Ferry Services Ltd.. Bullens Organization Ltd., Cawthorn and Sinclair Ltd., Channel Road Services Ltd , Continental Ferry Trailers int. European Transit Ltd.. Lcp Transport Ltd., M.A.T. Transport. Monks International Transport Ltd., Robertson Buckley and Co. Ltd., Alexander Scott (Contractor) Ltd.. and J. A, Smith Grout) of Companies. Two trailer mandadorers were represented—R. A. Dyson and Co. Ltd. and York Trailers Ltd.
After visiting the new S.T.E.M.A. depot at Lille, which was officially opened on Wednesday and will serve Northern France and the Channel ports, the party —accompanied by The Commercial Motor—watched loading operations at the Pompadour depot in Paris.
