Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC markets a range of three radio cassette units for the UK, designed for either spindle or snap fitting.

The least expensive is the RX765 Mark 2 unit, which is rated with the lowest output of 2x7W. It has base-boost tone control and metal tape compatibility accompanied by LW/MW/FM-MPX radio.

Automatic reverse ensures continuous tape play. The PRO button allows the direction to be changed. Fast forward and fast rewind can be locked in. When the vehicle's ignition is switched off, the pinch roller automatically disengages from the tape capstan.

The radio gave good reception for the pre-tuned stations, these being selected by one of a row of five push buttons. When the unit was new correct selection needed a strong push, but, with use, became easier. The NKC (noise killer circuit) made a worthwhile improvement to FM reception but improved quality can only be really appreciated while the vehicle is stationary without the engine running.

The tape player also gives clear reproduction, but early on it managed to chew up one of my elder and cherished recordings while beil rewound. This has happen only once, and the age of 1 tape may have contributed the cause of the problem.

A wide selection of stations possible from all over Euroi Press button selection oft needed further adjustmer when away from the location which the buttons we originally set. Local broado stations with restricted ran could be received over a wi area. Capital Radio, for examp could be picked up clearly as west of London as Whitchut off the M40 and while travelli North beyond Buckingham.

Selection of L, M or U lights the appropriate wave band orange, yellow or green, allo ing instant visual recognition.

A whip aerial specifically ( signed for FM and AM is reco mended, but the five-section tendable chrome aerial that w fitted has worked quite sal facto rily.

Twin Mitsubishi SG 10 WEfour-inch dual cone speako mounted unobtrusively on t doors produce volume enou for high-speed motorway n. ning. Priced at £149.44 (inchi ing vat) plus another £25 for t speakers, I see little reason pay more.
