• Commenting on the possibility that Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd may seek permission to start their own bus services to carry employees to and from work, Mr W. C. Wilson, Teesside Municipal Transport manager, said that Corporation services had greatly improved since the beginning of the year. He stated that during the recent winter when there was an outbreak of flu, 25 per cent of the Corporation's services had been lost. This figure had been reduced to seven per cent, but he admitted that difficulties were still encountered for a short while at peak hours. He added that new restrictions on drivers' hours affected morning services particularly hard.
