• On the morning of the State opening of Parliament on July 2, restrictions will be applied to the waiting of coaches in the Parliament Square and Westminster Abbey area, the Metropolitan Police has announced. These restrictions, which will follow the familiar form, will also exclude the setting down and picking up of passengers in the area during the morning.
Restrictions of the same general type, but probably less widespread, will also be applied on the morning of June 26, when the Queen will be attending the Houses of Parliament for a United Nations ceremony.
