Dragon 8-ton semi-trailers were used by Scaffolding (Great Britain), Ltd., on Monday to transport sections of a footbridge that was erected that night for members of the House of Lords to walk across into Westminster Abbey on Coronation day.

Each of the two sections, consisting of welded-steel tubing, measured 35 ft. long, 11 ft. wide and 10 ft. high and weighed 3 tons, and was prefabricated at the company's Mitcham works. The whole bridge was 70 ft. long and was erected by a mobile crane.

After the celebrations, the structure was dismantled by 12.30 a.m. on June 3, and it was back again at Mitcham at 6 a.m.
