Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO new mobile-shop bodies on Morrison-Electricar 20-cwt. and 30-cwt. chassis are now being made available for employment in the grocery

and confectionery trades. The body shells are designed to permit a wide variety of interior fittings.

With the 30-cwt. model, customers are served from an enclosed rear platform which has a wide central door. The gangway runs between racks with 60 individual divisions varying in depth from 1 ft. II in. at floor level to 12 in. at eye level. The minimum headroom in the gangway is 6 ft. 2 in.

Between the gangway and the customers" platform are a counter and showcase which can be arranged to accommodate an icebox. There is also provision for a wash basin in the driver's compartment. Large windows in the rear doors afford good natural lighting; electrical interior illumination is also provided.

Like the heavier model, the 20-cwt, mobile shop has a rear serving platform only I ft. 5 in. high. A still lower step may be let down for the less agile. The minimum headroom in the central gangway is 6 ft. Racks for both bread and confectionery provide 72 cu. ft. of storage space and in addition there is 26 Cu, ft. of space below the counter.

Bodies on the 20-cwt. chassis have for some time been available for the ice cream, greengrocery and butchery trades.

The framework of the bodies of both models is in hardwood. The 30-cwt. mobile shop has light-alloy panelling. This material is used also for the roof of the 20-cwt. vehicle, the sides of which are skinned with 22-gauge mild

steel. Optional equipment for each vehicle includes hot-water. units and wash basins, rubber or linoleum floor covering and interior body panelling.

Dimensions of the 30-cwt. shop are as follows: Length, 16 ft. 10i in., width, 7 ft.; height, 8 ft. 10 in.; width of centre gangway, 1 ft. 6/1 in., length of main deck, 10 ft, Those of the 20-cwt. model an.: Length, 15 ft. 4 in.; width, 5 ft., 91 in.; height, 8 ft. 7i in.; width of centre gangway, 1 ft. 6k in.; length of main deck, 8 ft. 7 in.

Young 36-cell batteries are fitted to .both types. The propeller shaft of the 30-cwt. vehicle is a Layrub unit, whilst that of the 20 cwt. is a Hardy Spicer.

• The 30-cwt. mobile shop was introduced at the Co-operative Wholesale Society's conference at Llandudno last week. Three types of control gear are offered—three-speed, four-speed and five-speed. The heavy-duty motors arc easily accessible and the bearings are fully protected.
