THE commission of inquiry into Glasgow Transport Department are now unlikely to meet. A proposal for their dissolution has been passed by the transport committee and will be put to the corporation for approval. Members of the commission had been named, but difficulties arose over the appointment of a transport expert. The department hopes to make a profit this year.
