ANEW sub-area of the Northern Area of the Road Haulage Association has been set up at Kendal to cover the southern part of Westmorland. Since 1945, there has been one R.H.A. subarea for both the Kendal and Barrowin-Furness districts. It was agreed to divide it into two, the Barrow sub-area to retain as members those operators based in the Furness district.
A32 At last week's meeting of the new sub-area, Mr. A. E. Nelson, of Messrs. Barnes and Nelson, Kendal, was appointed chairman, and Mr. W. J. Blenkinsop, of the Northern Film Transport Co., Kendal, honorary secretary.
