of a delivery pool by many of the leading Glasgow and Edinburgh stores, seven of the leading Edinburgh food concerns have formed their own City Food Delivery Pool, with headquarters at 93, Princes Street, Edinburgh. The conditions laid down by the operators include the placing of an order by noon the day before delivery is shown on the rota schedule as being due for the district concerned; that orders of only 7 lb. or' more will be accepted; that there will be one delivery in each area each week and that it will be to the schedule issued and at no other time.
It is emphasized that the transport pool is perfectly capable of doing the job provided the public observes these conditions and that the arrangements will allow shoppers to continue to buy at the shops which have given them satisfaction in the past.
