Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• I would like to take issue with some of the comments made and quoted regarding Truckline in your recent Boat Vote feature (CM 24-30 May).

The Truckline dedicated freight ships are spotlessly clean throughout with cleaning undertaken before each sailing in the turn-round times. Clean linen and duvet covers are also provided to all cabins for each crossing.

As regards the standard of catering, Truckline provides a free four-course meal for drivers, comprising a buffet selection of cold starters followed by the choice of a hot meal, meat, fish or omelette, followed by a selection of French cheeses and various sweets. It should also be stressed that free coffee and tea are available at all times throughout sailings.

Apart from our comfortable cabins, drivers can also relax with free newspapers or by watching television or video in a lounge adjacent to the bar and restaurant.

In our opinion, we offer high standards on all our freight ships and this is borne out by our regular drivers. Indeed, twice a year we carry out onboard surveys of drivers of all nationalities to ensure that these standards are maintained.

GW Day, Group Freight Manager, Truckline,

Poole, Dorset.
