• Newly appointed Federal Express boss, Ken Newell, has launched a marketing strategy for the 1990s which aims to expand the UK operation. A key feature is the centralisation of all services under the control of a single management board of 12 directors. The company also plans to brush up its image by insisting on clean vans and the avoidance of driving large trucks in town centres.
