the new SAP purpose-designed pusher-axle for rigid and articulated trucks is now available from Industrial Machinery Supplies of Loughborough.
It is a drop-centre unit and, by reducing tyre scrub, is said to increase tyre life to 145,000km, which is 88,000 more than conventional mid-axle suspension units.
It uses the Ackerman configuration and gives 20° maximum steering locks on inner, and 17.5° on outer, wheels.
