Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

windy gun

1111 Norbar has launched a prototype air gun with a built-in torque multiplier. The torque is set by regulating the pressure of the air driving the gun. The multiplier increases the torque available by a factor of five times.

Three versions will soon be available with maximum torques of 500Nm. 1,000Nm and 1,500Nm. Norbar say that by adjusting the air supply a torque setting accuracy of ±5% can be achieved.

A two-speed version should be available by the end of the year which will give a fullspeed, free-load wind down and will automatically switch to torque multiplication when a load is encountered. The two-speed version will be able to accept a torque transducer allowing a setting accuracy of ±3%, and will even print a readout of torque settings.

Interest has already been shown by tyre fitting companies.
